In 2006, three years after Lei, six after Les Cailloux, comes the third of the band, it will be "the other", L’Altro.
Black lacquered tables, metal, and white tiles. Somewhere between New York and Milan, in the sixth arrondissement of Paris (in Saint-Germain-des-Prés more precisely), L’Altro offers a spontaneous Italian cuisine that moves with the time without forgetting the "nonna’s touch of authenticity”.
The menu and its products (fresh, of course), changes over time and according to the inspiration, the market and the seasons ... Crunchy octopus, melty burrata and steamy gnocchi that melt in the mouth. The pasta innovates and surprises between tradition and modernity. The must-eat cacio e pepe remains sovereign alongside corn or kamut flour spaghetti.
For the sweet hint, the tiramisu, again and again, the "rotta" and unctuous panna, and the homemade ice creams. Because everything is "fatto in casa" (with the accent), even the grissini that takes center stage on the table, next to the Tuscan olive oil.
Then comes the pairing, and the wine list harmonises finesse (delicacy) and complexity. Here again, we are passionate and curious, constantly seeking new nuggets, major or lesser-known wines (but above all surprising) where the wind blows us…
